Fathima Shajahan

Fathima is a friendly and compassionate Dental Hygienist and Therapist with over three years of experience helping patients care for their smiles. She began her dental journey in India, where she qualified as a dentist, before moving to the UK and gaining further experience as a dental nurse. Today, she is fully registered with the General Dental Council as a Dental Therapist and brings a calm, caring presence to the team at Sandes Avenue Dental Practice.

Fathima is passionate about making patients feel at ease, especially those who feel nervous or unsure. She takes a gentle, reassuring approach to treatment, using clear communication to build confidence and understanding. Whether delivering hygiene treatments or offering practical advice on brushing, flossing, and oral health, she’s committed to helping every patient feel informed, relaxed, and empowered.

She especially enjoys helping patients understand the connection between oral and general health, always striving to make their experience both positive and personal.

Outside the practice, Fathima is a creative at heart. She’s a trained Carnatic singer, a talented henna artist, and a big fan of music, movies, and psychological thrillers. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with friends whenever she can.
