Kyra Whitehead

Kyra began her dental nursing journey in 2021 as an apprentice and is now a fully qualified Dental Nurse, proudly registered with the General Dental Council. She plays an active and valued role in the clinical team at Sandes Avenue Dental Practice, known for her supportive nature and calm, reassuring manner.

She particularly enjoys being part of transformational treatments, such as dental implants, where she sees first-hand the boost in confidence patients feel when they complete their treatment. Kyra is especially skilled in this area and takes the lead in managing the implant stock, ensuring everything is in place behind the scenes to support the clinical team.

Kyra is passionate about helping patients feel safe and supported, especially those who may feel nervous. She’s always ready to listen, offer reassurance, and make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Outside of work, Kyra enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She’s also a devoted dog mum to Buddy, and you’ll often find them out walking together, with Arnside beach being one of their favourite spots to explore.
